Hi, I’m Jordan—one of the Specialists and Foremen at Northern States Basement Systems. I started here as a Laborer in April 2022, rolled up my sleeves, and worked my way up to Foreman. Last spring, I officially added “certified waterproofing, foundation, and design specialist” to the résumé—which is a fancy way of saying I really know my way around a basement.
As a lifelong Northern Minnesotan who grew up around family-owned businesses, this line of work just feels right. I believe in hard work, doing things the right way, and treating customers like neighbors—because around here, they usually are. On any given day, I’m leading and training a crew, helping current customers, or meeting with new homeowners to figure out the best solutions for their basements, crawlspaces, and foundations. Every project comes with its own curveballs, and I take a lot of pride in knocking them out of the park.
Before joining NSBS, I worked as a handyman, maintenance technician, laborer, and assembler at Polaris—so troubleshooting and getting my hands dirty has kind of always been my thing. If something’s broken, leaking, or sagging, I’m already thinking about how to fix it.
When I’m not at work, I’m usually renovating my own home (apparently, I don’t get enough projects during the day), or spending time with my wife, daughter, extended family, and our dogs. Between work and home life, there’s never a dull moment—and honestly, I wouldn’t have it any other way.
