Before
This homeowner in Duluth, MN had dreams of a finished basement but with water problems they didn't know if it would ever become a reality

Storage
Currently the basement was being used for storing old possessions

Rehab
This basement definitely needed some rehab to become what the homeowner wanted

Sump location
The crew has jack-hammered the cement away in order to install the sump basin.

old cement
The cement in this basement was very old and thin. It almost looks like dirt

CleanSpace wall system
The CleanSpace wall system is installed prior to the WaterGuard to prevent any moisture from coming in through the tiny fissures in the wall. The water collects behind the CleanSpace and trickles down into the WaterGuard

Obstacles
The crew sometimes have many obstacles that they have to jack hammer under in order to install the WaterGuard along the perimeter of the basement

Sump
The sump and WaterGuard are installed now all the crew has to do is cement the floor closed

Port
The WaterGuard port is important in case we need to flush the system because of a build-up of sediment in the system

Cementing the floor
The Basement System products are all installed so the crew can cement the floor closed leaving the port accessible

Almost done
The sump is also accessible but the basin is below floor level. It will collect any water that the WaterGuard system collects

Finished
The basement is finished and ready for the homeowner to start the finishing project
