Paul M. of Duluth, MN was plagued by recurring freezing pipes in his crawlspace. He knew something needed to be done, before it catapulted into something much worse. He was motivated to find a repair company. In his search, he found Northern States Basement Systems. What could be better than a company that specializes in basement and crawlspace repair?
After calling Northern States, Paul had an appointment with our specialist, Dwight, to address all of his concerns about the crawl space. Together, they came up with a solution that would fit Paul's specific needs. Dwight had Dave install RimTight (foaming) to the floor joists, SilverGlo to the crawlspace walls and a custom crawlspace door. The SilverGlo insulates and reflects the heat off the walls while the RimTight keeps the heat from escaping out of the foundation. All three of these products work together to keep the crawlspace from becoming too cold, and freezing the pipes, even on the coldest day of a northern Minnesota winter.
Paul is extremely pleased with the results of our work. The savings he incurred on his energy bills are enough to bring a smile to his face, but the peace of mind Paul has from no longer having to worry about freezing pipes is worth every penny.
